Who We Are

established 2022

Founded by Barbara Pierce in 2022, Girls Rockin' In Power was established in order to provide young girls an environment in which they can reach their fullest potential. What started off as a small community venue has grown into an enterprise that’s committed to empowering children of all backgrounds.

Our Story

Committed to Fostering the Lives of Young Girls

In 2009, Barbara M. Pierce founded Unique Euphony Publishing, later to be named Unique Euphony Publishing and Art Gallery LLC. In 2015, Unique Euphony started the Summer Arts Camp in Columbus, Georgia for boys and girls ages 8-16 to express their talents through the arts. Throughout the other three seasons, the Summer Arts Camp expanded into the Children's Literacy and Arts Initiative, or CLAI. Seven years later in 2022, CLAI decided to expand past Georgia, going nationwide with an organization named Girls Rockin' in Power, or GRIP. GRIP is a girls empowerment group with goals to build self-esteem and to fight against bullying.

Our Mission

Striving to Make a Difference

Girls Rockin' in Power was made with the intent to enhance the lives of young girls across the nation. GRIP strives to encourage young girls to stay off the streets, and indulge in things they love to do. This program will be a vehicle to expose these girls to new hobbies and help them unleash talents they may not have been aware of before. Through spoken word, visual arts, theatre, dance, and even more, young girls can find new and healthy ways to express themselves, both on-stage and behind the scenes. GRIP will also be a platform in which young girls can learn more about the world, discussing topics such as critical race theory, voting rights, school-to-prison pipeline, mental health, child abuse, self esteem, bullying, and even more.
